University of Chichester students are permitted to use the visitor route to study in these circumstances:
If you are a non-visa national (i.e. your nationality is not listed here), you do not need to apply for a visitor visa in advance. However, you will need an ETA before you travel.
If you are a visa national, you will need to apply in advance for this visa. As you will have a visa, you do not need an ETA. You should request a visitor visa letter from our admissions team to help you support your visa application.
Please see the full details and the full list of permitted study under this route on the UKCISA website.
If you are not sure if the type of study you are planning to undertake meets the criteria, please email international@chi.ac.uk for advice.
Please note that visitors are not allowed to work or take part in study related work placements. If you are coming to the UK on an exchange/study abroad programme and you have chosen work placement modules, you must apply for the student visa (student route).
The Chichester International Advice Be Prepared website aims to provide new international students with all the information they need to prepare for their arrival to the UK. It covers a wide range of topics that will support a smooth transition into studying in a new country, including actions and checklists to help students to be proactive in their pre-arrival preparation.
